F1-wereld reageert bedroefd op overlijden 'icoon' Jordan

Het overlijden van Eddie Jordan heeft de Formule 1-wereld diep bedroefd achtergelaten. De Ier had een geweldig oog voor talent en stond aan de basis van de carrière van meerdere legendes van de sport, waaronder Jean Alesi en Michael Schumacher. Het team dat hij oprichtte staat tegenwoordig - na de nodige veranderingen van eigenaars - nog steeds op de baan als Aston Martin. Na zijn carrière in de Formule 1 bleef hij actief voor de Britse tv als commentator. Daarnaast presenteerde hij een podcast met goede vriend David Coulthard.

Zelfs de premier van Ierland, Michael Martin, heeft gereageerd op de dood van Jordan. Jordan was een van de weinige grote Ierse namen in de Formule 1 en kan dus op een eerbetoon van zijn premier rekenen.
