De autosportwereld wordt vaak weggezet als een 'mannenwereldje', maar de laatste jaren komt daar langzaam maar zeker steeds meer verandering in. In 2019 werd de W Series in het leven geroepen, een raceklasse speciaal voor talentvolle vrouwen. Dit jaar zien we de deelneemsters, waaronder de Nederlandse Beitske Visser, zelfs terug in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1. Het spreekt boekdelen over de opmars van vrouwen in de autosport. Ook in de Formule 1 en de rest van de autosportwereld wordt er natuurlijk stilgestaan bij de Internationale Vrouwendag, om aandacht te vragen voor de strijd voor gelijkheid voor vrouwen.
