De GP Emilia-Romgna van dit weekend gaat niet door. Woensdagmiddag werd het besluit om te race te schrappen genomen , vanwege het aanhoudende slechte weer. Mercedes-coureur George Russell wenst de regio Emilia-Romagna en iedereen die betrokken is bij de overstromingen alle sterkte toe. Lando Norris geeft aan van racen te houden, 'maar veiligheid van anderen is belangrijker. We zullen terugkeren in Imola', zegt de McLaren-rijder. Ook Nico Hülkenberg spreekt zich uit en hoopt dat de mensen die in de getroffen regio wonen veilig blijven.
